The objective of the position is to introduce the assigned staff to the processes, technology and quality assurance in the die-casting production and ensure smooth production with minimal waste in a clean environment. The holder of the position oversees/performs the repair of tool issues or equipment and keep the downtime as short as possible. In the scope of the Alupress Production System, the team leader is a multiplier of change and is well qualified with regard to the topics of quality, employee leadership and problem solving. He is able to take on problems, ideas and suggestions and to find a successful solution. For his staff members, he is a role model and a competent partner regarding technical and organizational issues.

Specialized Tasks

- Planned/unplanned change-over and set up of die casting cells according to the specifications,

- Ensuring the required quality together with the Quality department,

- Overseeing/perform of tool and/or machine repairs in cooperation with the Tool-service and/or maintenance department,

- Increasing OEE by analysing downtime and initiating improvements,

- Performing TPM/maintenance on the equipment,

- Melting the aluminium and servicing it into the casting cells,

- Documentation of deviations as well as quality and process problems in shift log,

- Improvement of work processes,

- Monitoring, documentation and archiving of processes.

- Changeover and set up of the casting cells according to the specifications,

- Processing of technical projects

Managerial Duties:

- Introduction and training of new employees,

- Organization of shifts and bridging of break times,

- Briefing on the operator in the various documents,

- Ensuring of work safety,

- Maintaining standards: regulations, TPM, 5S, documentation, audits.

To lead, direct, and support Casting Area employees

Prefer 4yrs experience in foundry/Casting facility (aluminum Casting)
