The Customer Service Representative receives customer orders and coordinates activities of multiple cement and aggregate shipping facilities, including rail movements, scheduling orders to specific jobsites to fulfill customer needs. Works closely with Marketing/Sales as well as dispatch team to provide customer service and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction with all aspects of services and products delivered. Also includes graphical analyses of sales volumes, customer materials volumes, and follows up to sales calls.
- Provides customer service, placing new phone orders and changing existing orders as requested by customers using standard procedures
- Communicates with sales colleagues regarding customer updates, product additions, and/or project extensions
- Assists and educates customers regarding products and delivery availability
- Follows up with customers as needed to clarify their requests, provide updates on Martin Marietta shipments, or to check on their level of satisfaction
- Processes of credit card purchase
- Assists in sorting, scanning, and storage of paperwork related to customer orders
