Responsibilities
•Set up, operate, and maintain CNC mills to produce precision parts.
•Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate machining.
•Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
•Perform tool and mold maintenance, including repair, and modification.
•Conduct quality checks using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
•Troubleshoot and adjust CNC programs to optimize performance and meet tolerances.
•Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and efficiency.
•Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications
•High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in CNC machining or tool and die preferred.
•Minimum of 35 years of experience as a CNC mill SetUp Person.
•Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
•Strong knowledge of CNC programming (Gcode, Mcode) and machine operation.
•Experience with tool and mold design, fabrication, and maintenance.
•Familiarity with a variety of materials, including iron, aluminum, and steel.
•Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
•Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
•Strong communication and timemanagement skills.
Preferred Skills
•Knowledge of 3axis CNC machining.
•Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
