Job Title: CNC Programmer/Operator

Location: Gastonia, NC

Schedule: Monday - Thursday

- 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

- 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM

Hourly Pay: $18.00 - $25.00/hr - depends on experience, training provided to anyone who is interested in an entry level machining position.

JOB SUMMARY:

Sets up and operates CNC machines or machining centers to perform various functions, such as, cutting, drilling, reaming, and boring of metal products. Operator should be able to make adjustments to machine and adjust set ups per the work instructions for each item.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements

- Must set up machine by following parameters identified on work instructions

- Meet or exceed production standards set to produce parts

- Accurately complete production records

- Control and adjust machine settings as required

- Mount, align, and secure tooling, attachments, and workpieces on machine

- Select and install cutting tools in machine

- Load and unload machine

- Operate machine with little supervision

- Make manual adjustments to programs as required

- Ensure conformance of product to blueprint specifications, using precision instruments.

- Maintain required housekeeping—including the area around the machine, cleaning machine, tooling, and parts
