As a CNC Machine Apprentice, you’ll embark on an exciting journey into the world of precision machining! This role is designed for those eager to learn and grow in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery, while working alongside skilled professionals who are passionate about their craft. Get ready to dive into the intricacies of CNC programming and machining processes, where every day presents new challenges and opportunities for skill development.
We are also involved with the United States Navy's CNC Training porgram. This a fast paced 6 week program at one of the Navy's training facilities. The Navy will pay the room and board and TEM will pay you to train.
Both programs are a great way to change your career goals and join an exciting team to provide parts to the Aerospace, Defense and Industrial Valve Markets

As you learn new skills your pay will be increased to match your performace,
- Operate and maintain CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Assist in programming CNC machines using Fanuc systems and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications to produce high-quality parts.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Collaborate with team members, tooling, and quality control processes.
- Gain experience with various manufacturing equipment including presses, broaching machines, stamping presses, and laser manufacturing.
- Participate in materials handling, packaging, and warehouse operations to support production goals.
- Learn basic math applications relevant to machining tasks while honing your mechanical knowledge.
- A strong desire to learn about CNC machining and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with hand tools and basic mechanical assembly techniques.
- Previous factory or warehouse experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks or other CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software is advantageous.
- Understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLC) is beneficial.
- Experience with welding or other fabrication techniques will be considered an asset.
