Siskin Steel & Supply Co./East Tennessee Steel Supply is seeking a Class A CDL truck driver/warehouseman. This route will be a Transfer run to Chattanooga, TN; drop and hook and back to Morristown, TN. Some local extra runs may be required. No overnight travel, and HOME EVERY NIGHT. Driver Incentive Program, Employee Referral Program, and Tarping Pay. 3 Weeks paid PTO first year.
Responsible for delivering material to customer locations.

1. Safe operation of tractor pulling flatbed trailer.
2. Accurately checks to ensure both proper material and proper quantities of material is sent to the truck by warehouse personnel. This is done through the proper use of:
a. Tape Measures
b. Calipers
c. Yard Scales
d. Verification of item descriptions on work copies.
4. Must be able to lift 50 pounds routinely.
5. Possess ability to frequently stand, bend, push, squat, and use pry bar in order to position material correctly on trailer.
6. Must secure all loads (Chains, straps) according to DOT regulations.
7. Must accurately maintain DOT log book.
8. Assists in unloading material at customer, if required.
1. Demonstrates ability and accepts responsibility to perform other duties assigned by supervision.
10% Bending, stooping, squatting: Unhook chains; guide and position material; count, check and measure material.
80% Sitting down to drive tractor trailer in warehouse and on company property. Must be able to occasionally use clutch.
10% Walking on uneven surface while trailer is being loaded.
10% Climbing into and out of truck cab (3 steps)
5% Pushing / pulling material weighing 50-100 pounds.
Must be able to work in the warehouse performing the following:
b. Reads tape measure and calipers; uses tape measure and calipers to measure material.
c. Looking for material to locate and pull material for loading.
d. Bends and stoops to handle chains, slings, spreader bars and/or any other material handling equipment needed to work shipping orders.
e. Bends to floor level to locate and pull material for loading.
g. Reads color charts accurately to determine thickness and/or composition of material.
h. Lifts 45 pounds, on a frequent basis.
2. Loads the worked shipping orders onto delivery trucks:
b. Verifies that material loaded on truck corresponds to the work order.
b. Lifts, bends and stoops to handle chains, slings, spreader bars and/or any other material handling equipment used to unload material.
4. Records accurately all Quality Assurance information on inbound material.
5. Places inbound material into the proper storage locations in the warehouse.
