CAD Drafter Position – Steel Construction & Fabrication

The Mack Iron Works Company, established in 1901, is a family-owned metal fabrication / manufacturer committed to maintaining employee safety, operating with environmental sustainability, and achieving customer satisfaction. We are a team-oriented organization serving a regional construction market with miscellaneous and light architectural items. We also internationally serve the petrochemical, energy, and industrial gas-producing industries with expertise in pipeline strainers and flow control devices.

We are seeking a full-time, in person, CAD Drafter, with AutoCAD experience, to develop detailed installation and fabrication drawings for steel construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of AutoCAD software, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to translate contract drawings and specifications into accurate fabrication drawings, cutting lists, and other documentation including submittals.

Required Areas of Knowledge and/or Skill

- Experience, certificate, or technical training focused on drafting, engineering, or architecture. Previous experience or relevant internship experience is preferred.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) with an understanding of drafting techniques and principles.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with contractors, engineers, and suppliers.

- Ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, & Excel; for communication with customers, drawing and document submittals, and maintaining accurate inventories & databases.

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
