We are seeking an experienced, results-driven National Business Development Manager with a proven background in industrial chemical cleaning services. The ideal candidate will bring an established network of oil and gas industry contacts and a hunter’s mentality to aggressively pursue new business opportunities, secure high-value contracts, and expand our national footprint.
This role is responsible for leading nationwide sales initiatives, building executive-level relationships, and driving consistent revenue growth across the midstream market. Responsibilities
· Aggressively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across the U.S.
· Leverage an existing network of decision-makers in oil and gas to generate immediate sales traction.
· Develop and execute a national sales plan to achieve aggressive growth targets.
· Act as a business headhunter—opening doors, building trust, and converting prospects into long-term clients.
· Negotiate and secure multi-site and national-level contracts/MSAs
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with operators, contractors, procurement leaders, and EHS directors.
- Serve as the primary contact for national/enterprise accounts, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
· Collaborate with operations, technical, and HSE teams to design tailored, compliant, and cost-effective cleaning solutions.
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and regulatory changes to shape strategic sales efforts.
- Position the company as the preferred partner for industrial cleaning services in refinery shutdowns, cleaning, and hydroblasting.
· Represent the company at national conferences and client forums.
· Provide market intelligence to leadership to inform service development and pricing strategies.
- Partner with regional business development managers and operations leaders to ensure national strategies are executed locally.
- Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, providing insights into market growth opportunities and client trends.
- Mentor regional sales staff by sharing best practices for enterprise-level selling and relationship building.
- Lead cross-functional efforts with operations, safety, and project management to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality project delivery.
- Represent the company as a trusted leader and thought partner within the industry.
· Proven ability to hunt, win, and manage multi-million-dollar contracts in the industrial chemical cleaning space.
· Strong existing network of oil and gas decision-makers at the executive and operations levels.
· Deep technical knowledge of chemical cleaning services (refinery shutdowns, pigging, hydroblasting, degassing, decontamination, pipeline cleaning, etc.).
· Exceptional sales strategy development skills with a national/multi-state scope.
· Ability to work cross-functionally and influence outcomes without direct authority.
· Strategic thinker with a business headhunter mindset – persistent, persuasive, and results-focused.
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-value opportunities simultaneously.
· Ability to travel nationally (50–70%) to engage clients and support sales growth.
· Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field (preferred, not required with significant experience).
· 7–10 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in the oil and gas services sector.
· Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding national-level sales targets.
