Job Summary

Precision Support Services, LLC is a long-standing Oregon based FAA Part 145 Repair Station looking to add an additional Avionics Technician to its team.

Duties

- Test and troubleshoot instruments, avionics components and assemblies using calibrated test equipment

- Install and/or replace electrical components, assemblies, and systems in aircraft.

- Set up and operate ground and flight test equipment to perform operational checks and functional flight tests of electronic systems.

- Coordinate with supervisors and fellow technicians to ensure timeliness of work completion.

- Keep and maintain records of maintenance and repair work as required by applicable FARs and company procedures.

Required Skills

- Must be able to pass a DOT-FAA pre-employment drug screening physical.

- Valid driver’s license required.

- Must have sufficient experience to obtain a Repairman’s Certificate.

- 2+ years of recent experience in General Aviation Avionics preferred.

- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and electrical equipment installation drawings.

- Excellent troubleshooting skills and solid knowledge of all aircraft mechanical and electrical system functions.

- Strong background in Garmin and Technisonic products.

- Working knowledge of FAA regulations and Inspection Procedures as related to aircraft electronics.

Preferred Skills

- Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.

- Airframe specific experience with Bell Helicopter, Airbus Helicopter and Pilatus PC-12.

- Knowledge of CAD programming.
