The Clark County Water Reclamation District is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Assistant/Associate Engineer (Modeling) position.
This Position Will Be Primarily Responsible For
- Reviewing, creating, and evaluating hydraulic and/or processing models of the sewer collection systems, pumping stations, and treatment plants with guidance of senior staff.
- Learning and applying machine learning techniques to tasks such as flow forecasting, energy predictions, and pump analysis.
- Participating as part of a team to create an integrated digital twin of the collections system, pumping systems, energy consumption, and treatment processes.
- Working and coordinating with Engineers, Operations, Instrumentation, and Maintenance staff to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Working on multiple tasks supporting multiple departments including operations, design, construction, collections systems services, etc.
- Contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the service group by offering suggestions and participating as an active member of a work team.
Assistant Engineer: $35.71 - $55.39 Hourly

Education and Experience:
Assistant Engineer - Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline or a closely related field. Equivalent combination of appropriate formal education and directly related experience which has provided the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform all aspects of the job may be substituted for the degree to a maximum of two (2) years.
Associate Engineer - In addition to the above, two (2) years of civil engineering experience. Experience in a public agency setting is desirable.

Licensing and Certification:
Possession of a valid Nevada Class C driver's license at time of appointment. Possession of a Nevada Engineer-in-Training Certificate is desirable.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Periodically after employment background investigations may be conducted.
