We are currently accepting applications for 1 Permanent and 1 Part-time evening and weekend shift janitorial cleaning position.

Job Responsibilities

- Oversee and Performs all cleaning duties operation of the air terminal

- Knowledge of all cleaning tasks and technique

- Experience cleaning and performing minor maintenance in large multi-use building

- Aircraft interior grooming

- Experience operate floor Zamboni

- Detecting and reporting facility maintenance needs and safety issues

- Ensure the terminal is properly maintained in all weather conditions

- Follow directions and communicate in English

- Work in a high energy environment

- High standards in hygiene and cleanliness

- Ability to work independently and unsupervised

- Maintain a high quality standard of cleaning operation

- Ensure all records are maintained

- Comply with Health, Safety & Environment and Quality programs and initiatives.

- Also other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Competencies

- Minimum of five years’ experience in the custodial/aviation/airport industry

- Permanent Canadian resident and reside in Canada min 5 years.

- Must be able obtain and maintain Transport Canada Security Clearance

- Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license.

- Must be able to follow instructions and work safely within limited time frames

- Ability to read and write in English

- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

- Ability to work under pressure

- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.

- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills, including the ability to exercise independent judgment.

- A strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

- Able to work in inclement weather, overtime and extended shifts.

- Highly motivated and able to work with minimal or no supervision.

- Professional, punctual, meticulous and diligent.
