Meeker Energy is accepting applications for a fulltime Accounting Specialist - Payables & Collections. Meeker Energy provides electric and broadband internet service and is located in Litchfield, MN.

Primary duties include

· accounts payable processes including monthly and annual closing

· processing of invoices from payment authorization to vender payment and care of vender files

· responsible for the collection process including record-keeping, contacting for disconnection, and directing members to available resources

· preparation of monthly sales and use tax reports, filing and payment

· assist with general accounting activities and annual budget preparation as needed

The successful candidate must

· work well with a team

· have exceptional communication, problem-solving and organizational skills

· be able to work within strict timelines

· be capable of learning industry software

Professionalism and confidentiality are a must.

Training/Experience: Minimum two-year post-secondary education or equivalent experience is preferred. Two years of experience with accounting procedures. Computer training or experience with Microsoft products.

Hourly position. Expected pay range $27-$31/hour based on qualifications, experience and skills. Benefits available include medical insurance; Health Savings Account; PTO; paid holidays; retirement benefits and more.
