Meeker Energy is accepting applications for a full-time Accountant – Finance Operations & Reporting. Meeker Energy provides electric and broadband internet service and is located in Litchfield, MN.

Primary duties include

· Lead and perform month-end close processes, including coordination of timelines, review of journal entries, and reconciliation of general ledger accounts

· Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including budget-to-actual variance reporting

· Monitor daily cash balances and perform cash forecasting to ensure adequate liquidity for payroll, vendor payments, and debt service

· Oversee accounts payable processing and cash receipts to ensure timely and accurate transaction recording

· Track and reconcile long-term and short-term debt, including required reporting and compliance monitoring

· Support external audit processes and provide required documentation related to financial reporting and cash management activities

· Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving skills and organizational skills

· Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

· Possess the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines

· Be able to interpret and apply accounting standards and regulatory requirements

Professionalism and confidentiality are a must.

Training/Experience: Minimum four-year post-secondary education or equivalent experience is preferred. Three to five years of experience with accounting procedures. Computer training or experience with Microsoft products.

Hourly position. Expected pay range $32.00-$37.00/hour based on qualifications, experience and skills. Benefits available include medical insurance; Health Savings Account; PTO; paid holidays; retirement benefits and more.
