We’re seeking an Account Manager
who are eager to advance their careers while supporting critical energy infrastructure projects nationwide. This client-facing role involves managing key accounts, fostering long-term relationships, and ensuring the successful completion of breaker maintenance and electrical system projects. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for customers, overseeing proposals, coordinating projects, and identifying opportunities to expand services. This role combines technical expertise with account management skills and requires strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
What You’ll Do
- Act as the main liaison between clients and RMS Energy, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and long-term relationships
- Promote RMS Energy’s services with a focus on breaker maintenance solutions
- Develop detailed proposals and quotations for projects, including cost estimates, scopes of work, and schedules
- Follow up with customers after job completions to assess satisfaction and address concerns
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to achieve account growth targets
- Maintain strong client relationships through clear, consistent communication
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to provide customized solutions
- Support development and training efforts related to the breaker maintenance program
- Document activities, revenue forecasts, and account plans, providing insights and recommendations
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities in Zoho CRM
- Ensure effective transition of project details to the operations team upon award
- Support commissioning activities and final project delivery to meet client expectations
- Ensure compliance with client and company policies during onsite visits
- 2–5 years of experience in account management, sales, or customer service
- 5–8 years of field experience testing, maintaining, and commissioning power systems up to 500kV (related experience considered)
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Zoho) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- High school diploma or GED required
- Willingness to travel up to 25% throughout the continental U.S.
- Must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment/random drug tests
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work in both office and field environments, including project sites
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs, climbing ladders, and working at heights- Requires good vision, hearing, and English proficiency for effective communication in varied environments
- An associate's or bachelor's degree in sales, business development, electrical engineering technology, or any other relevant field
- Experience developing breaker maintenance programs or training materials
- Familiarity with utility, industrial, or critical infrastructure projects
- Advanced certifications or technical training related to power systems
