Ampjack is looking for up to 7 - General Labourer workers to fill various positions on our construction team. We are completing project work that is based out of Cumberland, BC. The work will occur in rural areas from Courtenay to Campbell River, Parksville to Duncan and in the Victoria area. The start and end point for the work will be primarily based out of Cumberland but there will be some relocating throughout the project on Vancouver Island.

The work schedule will generally be 12 hrs./day, Monday through Saturday. Overtime will be paid at 1.5X the regular rate of pay. The shift schedule will be 3-weeks on, 1-week off.

This is for project work. Start date will be approximately May 4, 2026 and end date will be approximately September 13, 2026. (End date is subject to change)

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

- Be safety focused, reliable, motivated, adaptable, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and able to follow instructions

- Be physically able to work outside in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)

- Be capable of walking on uneven ground

- Be capable of carrying up to 100 lbs.

- Be a proven team player and willing to take direction

- Must have a valid drivers license and the ability to get to the project area

In addition to the above requirements, applicants with the following qualifications/experience will receive priority consideration:

- A resident of the Cumberland area or Vancouver Island

- Posses a Class 3 drivers license

- Posses a construction background and experience working outdoors

- Posses carpentry skills

- Posses painting experience using airless sprayers

- Posses media blasting experience

The successful applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test prior to the start of employment.
