As a Wellfield Operator, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the operation and monitoring of the wellfield. This includes circulating wellfield solutions, performing routine inspections, and ensuring proper flow to optimize uranium recovery. This role is critical to supporting overall mine production and efficiency. Candidates must prioritize safety at all times, remain vigilant of potential hazards, and take proactive measures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Inspections of wellfield header houses, operating wells, disposal wells, and collecting water samples.
· Changing sock filters, responding to leak detection alarms, and assisting with flow rate balancing.
· Maintenance and troubleshooting of header house equipment, wellfield surface facilities, to achieve full operational status within the wellfields
· Driving truckloads of ion exchange resin between the Christensen Ranch site and the Irigaray Central Processing Plant may be required.
· This is an hourly position that involves shiftwork. Work schedule is a 12-hour shift (day or night), 4 days on, 4 days off. Overnight accommodations are available to those who choose to stay on site for their 4 days on.
· This position will be expected to work outdoors as necessary in varying weather conditions.
· Must be able to recognize hazardous conditions, follow company safety policies and practices, and engage in a strong safety culture.
· Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
· Applicants must be able to pass a medical pulmonary function test for respirator usage and must pass a background check as well as drug and alcohol testing, as a prerequisite to employment.
· A high school diploma (GED) and knowledge of basic construction/maintenance skills are required
· A valid driver's license is required – Class A CDL would be a plus
· Must have the ability to safely work independently, as well as part of a team.
