As Operations Technician Lead, you’ll be a subject matter specialist, leading team projects associated with pipeline operations, equipment maintenance, governmental compliance, technical standards and more. Troubleshooting, problem-solving and accurate record-keeping are a must and a focus on safety are keys to success in this role!

Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Supervises the development and implementation of pipeline operations, equipment maintenance and safety, including technical standards and governmental requirements
- Serves as a subject matter specialist, providing technical or operational guidance to the team, including troubleshooting problems using existing precedents and procedures
- Leads team projects or assignments of major scope or complexity that impact profitability
- Follows Company policies and appropriate operating and maintenance procedures
- Coordinates protection of community, personnel, environment and assets
- Coordinates awareness of site/location/equipment specific permits and compliance
- Completes assigned reports, logs and maintains accurate records
- Provides mentorship to team members
- Other duties as assigned
- Required: High School Diploma/GED and minimum eight (8) years of demonstrated ability as an operations technician in the oil and gas industry
- Preferred: Associates or 2-year technical degree and minimum eight (8) years of progressive operations technician experience within a natural gas processing or compression facilities
Physical and Environment Work Requirements:
Must be willing to:
- Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
- Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
- Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
- Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
- Use hand tools
- Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as needed
- May be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays
- Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Demonstrates aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills and proficient/advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers
