As an IT Support Specialist at UEC-Wy Corp, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our technology systems and infrastructure. You will leverage your technical expertise to provide essential support for hardware, software, and network issues across the organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in troubleshooting, system maintenance, and end-user support within a fast-paced IT environment. Specific responsibilities include, but not limited to;
· Providing technical assistance and support to staff for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
· Troubleshoot and resolve IT problems in a timely manner, including issues with workstations, software applications, and network connectivity.
· Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripheral devices.
· Assist in the planning, development, and execution of IT projects, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets.
· Assist with the management and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring systems are secure, updated, and operating efficiently.
· Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to allocate resources and ensure timely delivery of project tasks.
· Document and track support requests, resolutions, and system updates to build a knowledge base for future reference.
· Monitor IT systems and ensure compliance with company policies and security standards
· Provide training and guidance to users on software tools, system features, and best practices
· Assist with the development and implementation of a document management system.
· Regularly monitor database health, including storage compacity, data integrity, and system performance.
· This is a salary-exempt position that involves working in an office setting with some potential outdoors at our mine sites.
· Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices in all work-related activities.
· Must be able to recognize hazardous conditions, follow company safety policies and practices, and to engage in a strong safety culture.
· Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
· The successful candidate will be required to submit to mandatory drug and alcohol testing prior to employment.
· A minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field (or equivalent work experience)
· Proven experience in IT support or help desk roles
· Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and network protocols.
· familiarity with IT support tools and remote troubleshooting software.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
