- Performs feed milling, mixing, and mill maintenance.
- Loads prescribed amounts of mill feed and supplements on feed trucks.
- Loads prescribed amounts of roughage on feed trucks using a front end loader, monitors mixing time, and delivers feed to specified feed bunks.
- Unloads grain trucks; makes bin assignments for grain storage.
- Builds, repairs, and maintains feedlot facilities.
- Operates and maintains vehicles and agricultural and construction machinery and equipment in accordance with verbal instructions and those provided in operator's manuals.
- Assists with care and processing of cattle.
- Keeps records and prepares reports regarding feed mixtures, consumption, storage, and mill maintenance.
- Receives, comprehends, and follows directions issued by supervisor.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as material safety data sheets, operating and maintenance instructions.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Possession of a valid driver's license appropriate for the type of equipment to be operated
- English language fluency, verbal and written.
- Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.
