Duties and Responsibilities change with the seasons:
Position Summary:
Blue Flame technicians repair propane equipment and install/upgrade propane appliances, tanks and systems. Their job is to handle the customer from initial inspection through the end of their service with Blue Flame. Technician must have a strong focus on safety and preventative maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•
Follow code/jurisdiction requirements during installation or repair of propane systems
•
Install, repair, upgrade, troubleshoot and maintain propane systems
•
Operate crane truck, bobtail, trencher, trailers and other propane equipment
•
Install, repair, upgrade, troubleshoot and maintain HVAC systems
•
Provide timely and detailed service reports
•
Operate vehicle and all equipment in safe and professional manner following all State and Federal laws
•
Follow all company procedures and safety protocols
•
Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
•
Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment
•
Perform company related maintenance of tanks, bulk plants, equipment, etc.
•
On-call rotation for after-hour emergencies
•
As necessary, make propane deliveries
Licenses and/or Certifications:
•
CDL B, ability to obtain
•
HazMat and Tanker endorsement, or ability to obtain
•
Driving experience
•
Willing to obtain gas certifications, Gas fitter license
•
Mechanically inclined
•
Clean driving history*
Clean Background Check*
Must be able to pass Random Drug tests*
Positive Attitude and Willing to work*
Must be 21 years of age
•
Ability to lift, bend, climb, pull, push equipment in propane environment. Minimum of 50 pounds.
•
Work/Drive during weather conditions such as heavy rain, snow, ice, etc.
