We are seeking an O&M Technician to support the Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) project for a facility located in the Elk Mound Wisconsin area.This role is a relief/support Operations & Maintenance Technician (OMT) for the Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) program. The position is broad and varied, providing daytoday support and relief coverage across all four RNG facilities in Wisconsin to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations. The technician must maintain full cognitive functional operation of each facility; i.e., the ability to think through, execute, and troubleshoot endtoend operating procedures and equipment at every site. The OMT works under the RNG Manager and performs work under the guidance and direction of the onsite OMTs, executing both supportive and primary tasks depending on coverage needs. Work includes SCADA operation, process monitoring, sampling and testing, and inspection/repair/adjustment/installation/removal of RNG equipment and systems. All work orders are executed and documented in the CMMS (MaintainX).
Job Responsibilities
- Provide relief coverage for OMTs at all four facilities; when assigned, act as the primary operator for that site’s shift.
- Operate the process from startup/shutdown and normal operations using SCADA and field rounds; adjust controls to meet permit and performance targets.
- Conduct routine sampling and analytical testing; record and interpret results to keep the plant running within specifications.
- Troubleshoot process and equipment shutdowns; escalate to the onsite OMT or RNG Manager as needed.
- Create, receive, execute, and close work orders in MaintainX; document findings, photos, parts used, labor time, and followup actions.
- Maintain a safe, orderly work area; complete required logs/rounds.
- Travel between facilities as scheduled; adapt to sitespecific SOPs while applying common operating standards.
- Ensure that plant operates within required standards.
- Monitor performance of electrical systems, circuits or equipment of the site
- Maintain a clean and presentable plant environment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, blowers/compressors, valves, digesters, upgrading equipment, instrumentation, and electrical systems across all sites.
- Conduct calibrations, loop checks, and verifications for instrumentation and controls; maintain records in MaintainX.
- Use equipment files, P&IDs, manuals, and drawings to plan work; update asset history and attach documentation in the CMMS.
- Support contractor work; verify quality, ensure LOTO and safety procedures, and coordinate permits.
- Maintain all plant instrumentation and electrical equipment.
- Inspect a troubleshoot, and perform corrective and preventative maintenance on all site equipment
- Conduct troubleshooting and analysis on RNG control equipment
- Fully support and participate in the Safety and Regulatory Compliance Programs
- Technical Expertise
- Strong understanding of procedures and instructions specific to instrumentation and controls or process operations, typically acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing instrumentation, controls, pumps, and electrical systems.
- Ability to work with blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals, and proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Familiarity with anaerobic digestion processes and renewable natural gas (RNG) systems is an advantage but not mandatory; willingness to learn and follow operating procedures is essential.

- Proficiency in using computers, including familiarity with office and technical software applications, and willingness to learn CMMS software systems.- Physical and Practical Requirements
- Comfortable working in agricultural or industrial settings, including environments involving exposure to manure, variable weather conditions, and other organic materials.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- CMMS proficiency required; MaintainX experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to achieve and maintain full operational competence at all four facilities (sitespecific SOPs, equipment, and safety requirements).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to travel between sites as scheduled.
