Diversified Tooling Innovations is searching for a CNC Set-Up Operator.
Monday - Friday 6am-2pm
Duties and Responsibilities Included But Not Limited To
•Work from instruction, method and process sheets, set-up charts, shop orders, part drawings, and specifications.
•Process parts subject to first piece layout inspection approval then follow gauge plan thereafter.
•Operate machinery and inspect parts to insure parts being produced; retain tolerance, squareness, concentricity, parallelism and finish. Move materials as necessary in the performance of duties.
•Troubleshooting production problems to include; reading part drawings, adjusting offsets and replacing dull or damaged tooling.
•Communicates with supervisor, engineers, production control, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
•Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
Requirements
•A qualified applicant will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year CNC machining experience, preferably on CNC lathes.
•Experience with CNC Lathes (Mazak, Mori Seiki - Daewoo - Fuji) is preferred.
•Previous experience with machine operation and measuring parts required.
•Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications with an understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
•Must have knowledge of basic mathematics and experience using precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. CMM experience a plus.
•Ability to solve tooling and set-up problems with minimal technical supervision.
•Self-motivated, able to work independently.
