About This Job

Diversified Tooling Innovations is searching for a CNC Set-Up Operator.

Monday - Friday 6am-2pm

Duties and Responsibilities Included But Not Limited To

•

Work from instruction, method and process sheets, set-up charts, shop orders, part drawings, and specifications.

•

Process parts subject to first piece layout inspection approval then follow gauge plan thereafter.

•

Operate machinery and inspect parts to insure parts being produced; retain tolerance, squareness, concentricity, parallelism and finish. Move materials as necessary in the performance of duties.

•

Troubleshooting production problems to include; reading part drawings, adjusting offsets and replacing dull or damaged tooling.

•

Communicates with supervisor, engineers, production control, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.

•

Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.

Requirements

•

A qualified applicant will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year CNC machining experience, preferably on CNC lathes.

•

Experience with CNC Lathes (Mazak, Mori Seiki - Daewoo - Fuji) is preferred.

•

Previous experience with machine operation and measuring parts required.

•

Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications with an understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

•

Must have knowledge of basic mathematics and experience using precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. CMM experience a plus.

•

Ability to solve tooling and set-up problems with minimal technical supervision.

•

Self-motivated, able to work independently.
