EcoLube Recovery is looking for a Vacuum Truck Route Driver to join our team in Puyallup, WA! This position will be instrumental working with EcoLubes sales and operations staff to develop a new line of business for the company. This position will be operating a brand new state-of-the-art 3,000-gallon Peterbilt vacuum truck that is equipped with a pressure washer and hoist tank to service existing and new company clients. Services include but are not limited to; oil/water separator cleaning, catch basin cleaning, and other types of below and above-ground water discharge systems. Business development and job estimate activities also will be regular duties in this position. Driver will be delivering waste to the company plant or other designated facility for processing and disposal. This driver will regularly work 45-50 hours/week and is home nightly!
- Drives a Class B vacuum truck safely and lawfully to assigned customer locations
- Ensures any waste being removed from customer site has been pre-approved through standard ELR waste profiling process
- Measures and estimates volume of solids and liquids present in holding unit being cleaned
- Safely and with care connects hose(s) to appropriate valve on truck tank
- Starts vacuum pump to remove materials from holding unit being cleaned
- Double checks quantity pumped onto truck to verify gallons loaded.
- Records amount of solids and liquids pumped, hours worked, number of units cleaned, and issue receipt to customer.
- Assists with organizing route service events in an efficient and timely manner, including call in services
- Communicates regularly with Customer Service/Dispatch throughout the day
- Makes required number of stops each day at various customer locations as scheduled to include Call-In service requests
- Maintains positive customer relationship at all times, and looks for opportunities to grow business
- Informs regular customers of other products and services offered by EcoLube.
- Accurately completes all required customer and DOT paperwork.
- Listens to and resolves service complaints; involve Branch Manager and/or Account Manager where appropriate
- Unloads truck at their assigned ELR facility each day
- Keeps both interior and exterior of collection truck clean and in good operating order
- Complies with all ELR safety and environmental policies.
- Complies with all standard company operating and safety procedures and protocols
- Acts in a professional manner toward customers, prospective customers, vendors, and co-workers
- 2 years experience driving Class A or B vehicles required
- 1-2 years route-based driving experience highly preferred
- Hazardous Materials, Air Brakes, and Tanker endorsements required
- Basic operating knowledge of computers, including basic Office suite
- Strong customer service and problem solving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English
- Ability to understand instructions given verbally or in writing in English
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
What are the physical requirements (with or without accommodation)?
- Must be able to meet the requirements to pass a DOT physical.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to drive and operate equipment.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move more than 100lbs.

EcoLube Recovery (ELR) is a Pacific Northwest owned and operated company.
