Well established Metal Manufacturing company is looking to hire a CNC Programmer to join the team.
- Analyzes job orders, drawings, and blueprints.
- Creates instructions for operators.
- Makes calculations for programming including where materials should be cut.
- Translates instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program.
- Communicates with those that will use the programs.
- Checks completed programs by running simulations or tests.
- Prepares geometric layout of designs using proper software.
- Determines sequence of operations.
- Determines tools to be utilized.
- Writes programs and modifies existing ones for increased efficiency.
- Makes improvements to set up times for a task and contouring of complex shapes.
- Evaluates all completed designs to validate their functions and ensure they successfully reduce time and money.
- Monitors all programs to make sure they follow specifications and instructions and safely and successfully complete the task.
- Work in a fast-paced environment.
- Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer programming or computer related field preferred.
- Knowledge of electronics and tooling.
- Experience in programming. (Metal fab programming experience is a plus)
- Excellent reading comprehension skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Experience with CAD/CAM programming software.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Basic knowledge of metal shop work.
- Must be able to work efficiently with little or no supervision.
- Knowledge of safety measures pertinent to each job assignment.
- Highly detail oriented.
- Knowledge of CAD software.
· PTO starting at 52 hours with increases after 2 years. Additional details will be provided once employment begins.
