Nationwide Boiler is seeking an electrical control panel and piping skid fabricator at Nationwide Boiler’s NCS facility, located in Washougal, WA. At the entry level the incumbent works under close supervision to fabricate electrical control panels and piping skids. General shop hours are from 6 am to 2:30 pm Monday through Friday.

- Installs electrical components on control panel equipment following a wire list or point-to-point wiring diagrams. Able to ring out wiring on a non-energized circuit. Pulls wires and terminates connections.
- Selects the appropriate enclosures and electrical fittings as applicable to NEMA 1, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, and 12 from a working knowledge of the NEMA rating system.
- Performs mechanical work required by Mechanic I.
- Perform routine repair and/or maintenance on shop facility equipment and tools.
- Completes appropriate maintenance/repair forms and records.
- Works with 110 volts exclusively and up to 480v with supervision required.
- Interprets basic electrical blueprints.
- Performs threaded pipe-fitting work on piping skids.
- Assists other mechanics or electricians as required.
- Keeps work area clean. Sweeps and puts shop tools back in their proper place.
- Performs routine maintenance and/or repair work on shop equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to properly utilize basic hand tools and shop equipment, including electrical installation equipment, millimeter, megger and hydraulic bender.
- Basic knowledge of fabrication, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components. Knowledge of safety practices and procedures, and NEC codes. Basic knowledge of boilers and/or related mechanical equipment.
High school diploma or equivalent and 1 to 2 years electrical trade school and 1 to 2 years related experience, or equivalent experience.

- Ability to handle weights up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Knowledge and ability to use common measuring instruments and hand tools such as tape measure, level, square, file or rasp, etc.
- Ability to read, understand and follow manufacturer directions.
- Ability to complete and submit weekly work reports and basic required documents.
- Must be punctual, have a good attendance record, and have a reliable means of transportation to work.
