- Performs routine laborer tasks on a regular (daily) schedule (e.g., cleaning up yard and plant areas).
- Responds to special requests (e.g., moving and carrying materials by hand or hauling materials with a cart).
- Assists in keeping loading areas stocked with appropriate inventory.
- Assists customers with locating indicated products and loading in/on customers’ vehicles.
- Reviews materials loaded against invoice or requisition and completes and routes paperwork appropriately.
- Operates various lifting devices (e.g. forklift) to move products, equipment and materials around the warehouse, yard, and jobsites.
- Loads and secures product, material and supplies on delivery vehicle. Delivers customer orders to delivery sites and unloads material safely and accurately, taking precaution to protect product and customer property.
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
- Verifies order details and maintains log of deliveries, including amounts and/or weights, mileage and locations of deliveries. Checks items against invoice to ensure accuracy of order.
- Uses strong customer service skills to handle customer concerns and helps to resolve issues as they arise.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
- Maintains service/driver logs and pre/post trip inspection procedures.
- Complies with Company Safety Regulations and Procedures Policy.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required and assigned
· No major accidents in the past 3 years and minimal moving violations.
· Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Must be able to climb up/down stairs and ladders.
· Must be able to stand/walk for several hours daily.
· Must be able to sit for 8-10 hours while driving and loading/unloading
· Ability to work outdoors with temperature/climate changes
