We are searching for an Electrical Supervisor (Solar construction projects) on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment.(W-2) You will be helping facilitate field commissioning and turnover. You have the experience to create good relationships with the EPC and others on site. You will ensure that safety is the number one priority on all sites. You will need to understand and verify all drawings, contract documents, and quality documentation. You will need to have an understanding of SCADA and fiber optics. You will need to have an understanding of electrical and fiber testing, IE, TTR, VLF, ODTR, Fall of Potential, VOC’s, etc.
Location Pierce County, Nebraska, Per diem at GSA rates
- Have an understanding all drawings, contract documents, and quality documentation.
- To work collaboratively in a TEAM environment.
- To verify that all drawings, submittals, and specifications are accurate.
- Have an understanding of SCADA and fiber optics.
- Have an understanding of electrical and fiber testing, IE, TTR, VLF, ODTR, Fall of Potential, VOC’s, etc.
- Works collaboratively with the EPC, sub-contractors, operations teams, and any others working on site.
- Reports daily, weekly and monthly on progress, quality control and safety
- Learning and using Unifier to record, name, and upload of electrical installation QC photographs
- Facilitates the Request for Information (RFI) process with the EPC and site engineering.
- Perform inspections of equipment being installed to verify it’s done correctly and per the scope of work and specifications.
- Review project completion documentation.
- Interfaces with project's designated safety, engineering and quality control parties
- Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Generation, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Relevant Experience: 6 - 10 years of experience in power plant commissioning, working with EPC Contractors, engineering firms, and equipment suppliers.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $70.00/hr. to $75.00/hr.
