We are looking for a valuable asset to our company that will join our production staff and assist in Shipping & Receiving.

Responsibilities:

Production

- Assist production staff & shop manager in performing assembling duties

- Assist in other areas of production as needed including: Powder coating, operating a pemserter, deburring or polishing metal parts, or operating one of our machines as assigned

- Gather & empty scrap material from production staff multiple times a day

- Organize & move material & product around the shop

- Move, organize & record inventory sometimes on a weekly basis

- Other duties as assigned

Preparing Shipments (Outgoing & Incoming)

- Weigh, count, package & ship products to customers, often preparing & prioritizing multiple shipments at once

- Unload, unpack, weigh, count & verify accuracy of all incoming merchandise & material

- Operate forklift, pallet jack & dolly to unload, load & move material around the shop

- May be asked to make local deliveries to customers & pick up material as need arises

- Perform other duties as assigned

Administrative

- Create & send packing slips to customers & receive inventory into system

- Communicate via email & phone to coordinate shipments & pickups

- Perform other administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Willingness to work in production & assist with shipping & receiving duties

- Proficient at completing tasks & assignments by following specific instructions

- Willing to adapt & be flexible in learning how to package, ship & schedule shipments according to management’s instructions

- Calm & patient while completing tasks & working with management & following their instructions

- Able to prioritize, multitask & juggle multiple assignments

- A good communicator & will follow through and listen to specific instructions

- Works well under pressure & in fast paced environment

Important Qualifications

- Operate forklift, dolly, pallet jack or wants to learn

- Able to lift & move heavy items

- Organized, highly accurate & has great attention to detail

- Dependable & wants to work hard for our great company

- Has an active driver's license

- Comfortable with a computer

- Can communicate via phone & email with vendors & customers

Shift is:

Monday – Thursday from 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Friday – 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM (as needed)
