An opportunity has arisen within the Production Department for a Workshop General Worker. The successful candidate will be based in Houston, TX and will report to the Production Manager. The Workshop General Worker is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and ensuring the functionality of the facility's infrastructure, including routine cleaning and minor maintenance tasks. This role involves cleaning common areas and supporting the overall upkeep of the facility to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for employees and visitors.

Salary range: $37,044 - $40,955 (dependent on experience)
- Maintain cleanliness of workshop, including engine carts, drip trays, and associated plant and equipment.
- Sweep, mop and dust floors, walls and equipment to maintain cleanliness throughout the facility.
- Empty trash receptacles, dispose of waste, and replace liners.
- Maintain cleanliness of facility yard/storage pen.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaks, repairing doors, and assembling furniture.
- Monitor the facility for any safety or maintenance concerns, reporting/addressing minor issues proactively.
- Collaborates with management to address and resolve any identified/reported issues promptly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of floors and walls, including painting and striping floors.
- Moving and relocating engine storage containers.
- Follow safety procedures and protocols for cleaning, maintenance, and repair tasks.
- Report any safety hazards, damages, or equipment malfunctions to the Facilities Maintenance Admin immediately.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years in custodial services or facilities maintenance experience.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
All regular full-time employees are eligible to participate in our flexible work schedule, which consists of five (5) workdays of eight (8) hours in one week and four (4) days of ten (10) hours in the second week for a total of eighty (80) hours during two (2) consecutive work weeks. The schedule allows every second Friday to be taken provided the agreed hours of work are fulfilled. Employees can “opt-out” and work the regular work week.
