Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Welder Helper to join our team. In this role, you will assist experienced welder in various tasks related to welding and fabrication. The ideal candidate will have the ability to load, unload, move, cut, grind, and accurrately measure metal as well as the ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment. This position requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

- Assist welders in preparing materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces.

- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications.

- Help with the assembly of metal components and structures according to design requirements.

- Perform basic fabrication tasks including Cutting, grinding, and painting.

- Use measuring tools tape measure, square, and levels.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety standards.

- Assist in the operation of forklifts when necessary for material handling.

Skills

- Ability to read blueprints, schematics..

- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools, power tools.

- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.

- Experience with rigging practices for safe material handling.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
