Primary lead in the safe and efficient repair and/or fabrication of miscellaneous process equipment or support structures in the Finoric LLC plant in Beasley, Texas.
May be requested to help with plant operations in the production unit on an as needed basis.
1. Maintains a safe and clean working environment. Ensures that all fabrication equipment is maintained in good operating condition and that employees are trained in proper safety procedures before operations.
2. Notifies appropriate plant personnel in emergency situations. Takes emergency action on own authority according to standard operating procedures.
3. Reports to the Production Supervisor or shift group leader.
4. Communicates with the other operators on the shift and other plant operations personnel to meet all safety and operational priorities.
5. 3-5 years of experience in welding / fabrication in an industrial, manufacturing plant environment. Job duties may include (but not limited) to the following:
- Prepares materials / equipment for welding, cutting, grinding.
- Utilizes analytical skills to conceptualize and execute welding/fabrication activities.
- Provides input into the fabrication process regarding design, materials, assembly.
- Consistently produces clean, strong welds.
6. Physical requirements for the position may include (but not limited to) the conditions outlined below:
- Must be able to stand, sit, crouch, and / or twist while performing fabrication duties.
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders without difficulties.
- Must be able to occasionally move or lift up to 50 pounds load.
- Must have good hand dexterity. Gross and fine motor skills required.
7. Much of the work may done be outdoors, in an industrial environment.
- The employee is required to wear eye and hand protection appropriate for the fabrication activities.
- The employee may be routinely exposed to high noise requiring hearing protection.
8. Supports the guiding principles of Responsible Care to continually improve Finoric plant’s safety, health and environmental performance, security, and efforts to respond to public concerns relating to design, development, manufacture, storage, marketing, distribution, use and ultimate safe disposal of chemical products.
9. Supports and is committed to the Quality Improvement Process. Plans strategies to ensure error-free work by “doing it right the first time” and conveys this attitude in the daily performance of various duties.
11. Supports plant commissioning, start-up, shutdown, and maintenance activities.
- 3 - 5 (or more) years of related welding and fabrication experience.
- Self-starter with a strong focus on safety and quality.
- Team player with good problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Previous industrial equipment painting experience is a plus.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) communication skills is a plus.

- Availability for varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, may be required occasionally.
