Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Welder to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality welding operations across various projects, ensuring all work meets division II pressure vessel specifications. Your expertise will contribute directly to the successful completion of diverse fabrication, manufacturing, and assembly tasks, supporting our commitment to excellence and precision. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects that demand craftsmanship, attention to detail, and mechanical aptitude.
Duties
Perform SMAW & FCAW or SMAW & TIG, or SMAW & SAW, and Gouge welding techniques on different materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, and Inconel
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute fabrication and assembly tasks
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and schematics to measure, cut, shape, and assemble components with precision
- Operate plasma cutters, flame torch, and other fabrication equipment to achieve desired specifications
- Conduct rigging and overhead crane operations safely during material handling and installation processes
- Fabricate components according to ASME codes & standards while adhering to safety protocols
- Perform nozzle, flange, saddle, installation and assembly tasks as required
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections conducted, and materials used in compliance with quality standards
- Support the installation and assembly of manways, nozzles, flanges, dish heads, shell, saddle, straps, and inlets while following schematics and safety guidelines
- Proven fabrication experience with a strong understanding of welding processes and safety procedures
- Demonstrated proficiency in SMAW welding, GTAW welding, FCAW welding, and SAW specific welding techniques
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math for precise measurements
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, flame torch, and rigging gear
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication practices
- Mechanical knowledge related to tanks, bottles, vessels, welding process, and assembly processes
- Ability to operate forklifts or other heavy machinery beneficial but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments
