The Warehouse Inventory Specialist is responsible for overseeing and optimizing warehouse operations within the terminal. This role ensures accurate inventory control, supports interdepartmental material needs, and contributes to overall operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include monitoring warehouse activities, maintaining inventory records, coordinating material movements, and identifying and resolving issues related to storage, fulfillment, or stock discrepancies.
The specialist works closely with Maintenance, Operations, and other departments to ensure materials are readily available and properly managed. The position also gathers and analyzes internal feedback to improve warehouse performance. This role reports directly to the Maintenance and Reliability Manager.
Roles
•Ordering: responsible for ordering all spare parts, inventory items, and equipment rented/leased for the terminal. Work with other departments to ensure their parts, supplies and tools are ordered and received timely.
•Inventory: responsible for ensuring accurate inventory counts, periodic checks, as well as the annual inventory audit.
•Lead: responsible for other warehouse/facility staff to ensure the warehouse is organized, items are received in, and any facilities needs are taken care of.
•Reporting: ensure the CMMS system is accurate, and reporting is detailed to ensure the best management decisions and all items are received timely for work being performed at the terminal.
Responsibilities
•Responsible for updating the inventory daily.
•Inspection of goods upon delivery and signing off on the packing slip/delivery ticket that the inventory is acceptable.
•Work with accounting on any invoicing issues related to inventory.
•Responsible for the database for all inventory items; including data entry, receiving all items into the system and adjusting inventory as needed.
•Responsible for returning any damaged or warrantied inventory items.
•Responsible for inventory control reports and maintaining an accurate inventory count.
•Responsible for yearly inventory physical count audit.
•Loading and unloading deliveries as needed, including operating a forklift.
•Maintain safety while using equipment and tools.
•Dispose of obsolete inventory as directed.
•Responsible for preparing Purchase Orders for management approval.
•Responsible for preserving a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat.
•Responsible for complying with all company procedures, rules, and regulations.
•Will coordinate with multi-department routinely.
•Other duties as assigned.

•· 5+ years of experience in an inventory role
•· Demonstrate a commitment to safety / environmental compliance.
•· Willingness to participate, as needed, on the Emergency Response Team
•· Able to use a computer and other office technology.

Qualifications And Education Requirements
•Familiar with data entry systems
•Operate Forklift and other heavy machinery.
•Operator company vehicle.
•Great written and verbal communication skills
•Experience with budget management
•Attention to detail to identify defective products.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
•Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card.
•Must possess and maintain a valid US driver's license.
•Must pass all pre-employment testing including a drug test, physical and background check.
Physical Demands
•Ability to work at elevated heights, including using lifts, ladders, and stairs.
•Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
•Work is done outdoors; must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
•Able to stand and bend for long periods of time in a warehouse environment.
•Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
•Must be able to operate some heavy equipment (ie. Forklift)
Position Details
•· Shift work - must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
