KLINGER GPI has been established through the 2020 acquisition of West Texas based GasketPackings, Inc., and the 2023 merger with KLINGER's gasket manufacturing facility located in Houston, Texas. KLINGER GPI is well positioned to provide industrial facilities with a comprehensive range of fluid sealing products and services, through our 4 physical Texas locations. KLINGER GPI manufactures and supplies a comprehensive range of fluid sealing and control products; including static and dynamic sealing products, valves, instrumentations, expansion joints and hoses, fasteners, hydraulic bolt tightening equipment and supplementary MRO products. In addition, our accredited in-house and mobile facilities provide tool calibration and equipment repair services to suit any calibration schedule requirements.
As a Full Time VMI Associate at KLINGER GPI, your primary responsibilities will include loading products and driving to customer sites across your assigned territory. You'll provide daily onsite support, ensuring that shelves and boards are accurately stocked to meet customer needs in the oilgas industry. Think bolts, tools, gaskets, packings. Utilizing our ERP system, P21, you will proactively assess stock levels and place orders as necessary, building relationships with site managers and workers, you will be the face of our supply chain.

Let's be real, this job isn't for everyone. There are weather extremes, you'll work in the heat, cold, wind, rain, and even snow. West Texas doesn't play nice. You will do lots of walking, some days you'll make multiple trips to the same location, covering a lot of ground. You may see wildlife, bugs, snakes, and other critters are part of the landscape. There will be heavy lifting, you'll regularly lift up to 50 pounds-sometimes more than once an hour. PPE is required: you'll wear a fire suit, steel-toe boots, hard hat, HS monitor, and other safety gear. It's not always comfortable, but it keeps you safe. Inventory work can be routine, and some days feel like déjà vu. You'll deal with different personalities and expectations at each site.

To excel as a Full Time VMI Associate at KLINGER GPI, candidates must possess a blend of essential skills and qualifications. You must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid Driver License with a clean driving history, as driving to customer sites is a key responsibility. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are crucial for maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring logistics run smoothly. Basic computer knowledge and the ability to operate a bar code scanner will aid you in managing product orders efficiently. Additionally, the ability to work independently and adapt to various customer environments is vital for providing the exceptional onsite support that KLINGER GPI prides itself on.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a valid Driver License and clean driving history.
- Must be able to pass a background check (required by customer sites).
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Customer Support experience.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer knowledge.

- Ability to work independently.
