Relocation: No Summary In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the safety of technology platforms, including workstations, server systems, networks, applications, databases, and electronic information, and protecting those systems from security violations, access, or destruction. Additionally, you’ll assist with implementing Information Technology security policies covering protocols, applications, networks, client/server systems, personnel, and other risk management mechanisms. This role will report out of our Downtown Dallas office 4+ days a week.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Actively monitor and investigate, in real time, the organization’s networks, systems, applications, and databases to protect Oncor internal partners and external customers from security violations, unauthorized access, or destruction.
- Perform cybersecurity investigations per the Cyber Security Incident Response Plan (CSIRP) and make recommendations to management based on findings and solutions.
- Report identified metrics, threats, relevant trends, and other topics as requested by the Chief Digital Officer, Chief Information Officer, and Information Security Officer.
- Actively engage and collaborate with other groups within the Digital Grid Management (DGM) team and internal partners.
- Provide supervision, leadership, and training to analysts on toolsets, threats, trends, and intelligence; ensure that any workarounds or process changes are implemented accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with the Manager on high‑priority incidents.
- Ensure the Director of Cybersecurity and Chief Information Officer are apprised of technical and regulatory changes in the security landscape.
- Serve as a change agent to adapt and drive change throughout the organization.

- Be self‑motivated and results‑oriented, with a passion to deliver above‑par results in a proactive manner.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including rotating shifts, days, nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
- Perform all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirements as assigned.
- Provide potential 24x7 on‑call/off‑hour security support as needed, including weekends and holidays.
- Proven analytical, problem‑solving, and research skills.
- Understanding of network concepts, protocols, services, and operating systems.
- Experience with email security, web security, application whitelisting, and anomaly detection tools required.
- Ability to obtain certifications in industry‑specific and technical fields, such as NERC, CIP, and CompTIA Security+.- Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in an open and collaborative environment.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
- 5+ years of cybersecurity monitoring or related cybersecurity experience required.- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field is encouraged to apply.
- Supervisory experience is encouraged to apply.

- Remains informed on current and emerging cybersecurity threats and intelligence.
