Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work and a passion for renewable energy. As a Solar Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar energy systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and hands-on experience in various construction and electrical tasks.

Duties

- Install solar panels and related equipment on residential and commercial properties.

- Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement of solar systems.

- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate installation according to specifications.

- Perform electrical work including fixture installation, wiring, and connections in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

- Utilize tools such as voltmeters to test electrical systems for functionality and safety.

- Collaborate with team members on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to solar energy systems post-installation.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

- Wiring electrical boxes

- Bending conduit

- Sitting at inspections

- Installing solar panels on roofs

- Troubleshooting systems

- Conducting Attic runs

- Conducting site visits for photos

- Working in DFW

- Traveling across Texas for service calls and installs

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of electrical systems, including NEC regulations.

- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.

- Experience with construction site operations and safety practices.

- Must be able to lift heavy materials and work at heights as required during installations.

- A valid driver's license is preferred for travel between job sites.
