Reports To: Fixed Assets and Inventory Finance Manager
Amount of Travel Required: Less than 10%
Work Schedule: 8:00 a.m - 5:00 p.m, Monday - Friday
POSITION SUMMARY: The Fixed Assets & Cost Accountant will be responsible for the accurate recording, tracking, and reporting of Beusa’s and subsidiaries’ fixed assets and inventories, while also supporting the evolution of cost accounting practices. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards, supports financial reporting, and provides valuable insights into the cost of goods and operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")
- Manages end-to-end fixed asset processes. AFEs, acquisitions, depreciation, transfers, impairments, and dispositions. Ensuring compliance, accurate classification, and required approvals.
- Maintains the fixed asset sub-ledger, prepare monthly roll-forwards, and reconcile to the general ledger.
- Supports the development and improvement of fixed asset policies and procedures.
- Prepares fixed assets schedules and forecasts for budgeting and financial reporting.
- Supports internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations related to fixed assets.
- Assists in maintaining standard costing for inventory items.
- Supports annual physical inventory, including inventory cost valuation, reconciliation to financial data, and experience with excess and obsolete inventory reviews, and recommend reserve requirements supported with in-depth analysis.
- Analyzes and report on manufacturing costs and inventory valuations.
- Investigates and explains root-cause variances between actual and standard costs, providing insights to business management.
- Partners with the supply chain to refine standard costing updates.
- Supports the month-end and year-end close processes related to inventory and cost of goods sold.
- Collaborates with operations, purchasing, and supply chain teams to gather cost data and understand operational drivers impacting costs.
- Develops dashboards/metrics for inventory turns, utilization, E&O trends, and asset efficiency.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
- Successfully passes background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment aptitude and competency assessment(s).
- Possesses a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
- Daily in-person, predictable attendance.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting required.
- CPA preferred, but not required.
- 5+ years in the accounting and finance sector required.- Ability to deliver clear and concise written and verbal communication of results.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with people operating at all levels of the company in a variety of situations.
- Exceptional computer skills in the operation of all programs used by the organization, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong command of full-cycle fixed asset capitalization and inventory management, with a proven ability to apply GAAP standards and facilitate audit requests.
- Proven ability to lead by example and influence cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations) and ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
- Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset, capable of challenging outdated processes.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

The Senior Fixed Assets & Cost Accountant works indoors in an office setting, primarily sitting for extended periods of time at a desk station, keyboarding and using repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and or fingers. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus while reading and staring at a computer monitor. They will also need to speak clearly and audibly, as well as have the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and /or other sounds (e.g., building alarms) deriving from in-person speech, telephone, or other remote speech. No adverse environmental conditions are expected. While in the office, the Business Controller may be called upon to stand, kneel, push, pull, reach overhead, stoop, crouch, climb, and lift; therefore, the person should be able to lift 25 lbs. independently.
Work hours may include early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on job demands.
