Under the direction of the Manager, the Receiving Lead will lead and direct the day-to-day work priorities to a team of Material Handlers and Helpers. He/she is accountable for their team’s performance, specifically the timely and accurate processing in-bound materials (P&ID items, MRP and stock). In this role, the individual will ensure materials are verified upon receipt, to include Packing List to Purchase Order Receiver verification, verification of material description, characteristics, quantities, and required documentation. This position will require the individual to work cross-functionally with the Procurement, Material Coordinators, Shipping, and Assembly Leads and Supervisors, to ensure material receipts are prioritized according to Assembly and Shipping department needs. The Leadman will monitor all work to ensure workers are performing activities according to project requirements, safely, and to the highest quality. The ability to multitask, communicate effectively, high attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset are a must. Individual must be a self-starter and is expected to execute tasks and goals in an effective and efficient manner, maximizing flow and throughput. Expected to lead in a manner that is consistent with and exhibits the company Vision, Values, and adherence to policies and procedures. A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach.
Fast-paced industrial / general office environment. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity. While performing duties of the job the employee will be regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, wet and/or humid conditions, and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is sometimes loud. This role will require a large amount of standing, bending, squatting, lifting, and walking on a constant basis.
