Under the general supervision of the Billing Supervisor, an individual in this position will perform administrative duties and problem resolution functions.
· Assist Client Relations department with researching client connection issues and other items
· Assist Implementation department with scheduled rate increases and other items
· Managing faxes by determining which client it is for, labeling the paper fax, printing and labeling the electronic fax, then distributing to appropriate Billing Analyst
· Identify the client, scan the bills and forward original to client. Print the scanned images and distribute to the appropriate Billing Analyst Calculating billing adjustments
· Using a schedule of availability, retrieve bills off the web; create electronic image of invoice, and process the same as a fax Resolving billing problems
· Maintain a database of all bills processed, when available, when received, how received and helping retrieve any missing bills
· Utilize Excel processes (Vlookup, etc.) to manipulate and reformat data to import into billing system
· Other duties as needed, which include but are not limited to updating tariffs as received, filing, and insurance verification
· Ability to perform moderate to complex analysis and research and evaluate alternatives while making sound determinations and recommendations
· Proficient in data manipulation using Excel and other tools
· Strong sense of customer service – ability to respond promptly to customer needs and requests for service
· Ability to portray thoughts logically through written communication
· High level of motivation and business acumen
· One year certificate from a college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Computer Skills – Database and spreadsheet software
