Summary: We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of large-scale solar power systems. This position involves conducting inspections, performing quality audits, overseeing quality assurance processes throughout the construction phase, from initial site preparation to final system validation, and collaborating with various departments to maintain compliance with industry standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Perform detailed inspections and testing of solar infrastructure, including panels, inverters, racking systems and electrical components to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
•Monitor and verify the construction process, ensuring adherence to engineering plans, safety requirements and quality control procedures.
•Perform inspections of electrical, mechanical, and civil systems at utility-scale solar sites.
•Record accurate measurements of electrical termination and mechanical equipment torque specifications on-site.
•Ensure installations adhere to manufacturer and industry guidelines.
•Organize inspection documentation from both internal and subcontractor sources.
•Conduct walkthroughs with subcontractors and site managers for mechanical and electrical inspections.
•Operate heavy equipment and process material accurately.
•Ability to operate machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
Skills Required:
•Minimum 3 years of experience in utility-scale solar construction.
•Minimum 2 years of QA/QC field inspection focused on mechanical and electrical installations.
•Proficient in interpreting electrical schematics, site layout plans, and mechanical drawings.
•Familiarity with NEC/NESC codes and solar commissioning standards.
•Strong communication skills and ability to work with field teams.
•Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, digital documentation tools and mobile QA/QC apps.
•Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
•OSHA 10/30-hour Certification required.
•Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
•Physically capable of walking uneven terrain, climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in outdoor conditions.
Abilities:
•Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high attention to detail.
•Operate hand tools, torque, wrenches, digital multimeters and inspection tools.
•Recognize installation deficiencies and communicate effective corrective strategies.

•Maintain a clean and organized inspection area and uphold housekeeping standards.
•Participate in project meetings, toolbox talks, and quality briefings as needed.
•Perform additional quality related tasks as assigned by leadership.
