At LCRA, we are seeking to find a driven Predictive Maintenance Technician to join our team at FPP! In this role you will perform diagnostic duties using test equipment to evaluate equipment condition such as electric motors, pumps, fans, turbo machinery, and more that are used in LCRA's Power Generating Facilities. - Collect data on electrical, thermal, ultrasonic and pressure elements of equipment and machinery, including oil samples. Inspect equipment and machinery, both visually and through analysis of data.
- Assess the condition of equipment and machinery through interpretation and analysis of data.
- Perform vibration analysis. Conduct electrical tests using thermography, partial discharge testing and motor current analysis. Perform infrared scans. Analyze oil samples, ultrasonic readings and thermal data.
- Communicate findings to management and peers regarding condition assessment of equipment and machinery. Generate reports, charts and graphs to support findings.
- Perform various diagnostics, troubleshooting, inspection, maintenance and technical support duties related to the predictive maintenance function including motor and pump balancing and alignments.
- Consult with operations and maintenance staff related to work orders, overhaul options and outage recommendations in support of system availability goals.
- Perform work by traveling independently or with a small crew to various facilities (e.g., power plants and water systems) as scheduled.
- Three or more years of experience in industrial operations or maintenance or relevant experience.
- A degree(s) in industrial maintenance or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
- Driver’s license
- Level 1 or higher Vibration Specialist certification from an ISO/ASNT compliant training program
- Experience with scheduling tool Pasta
- Experience with using Maximo
- Contain a valid Vibration certification
- Contain a valid Oil Analysis certification
