Ameritrace is hiring full-time Pipelne Locating Technicians to travel around Odessa, TX. You will be walking around outdoor spaces and accurately locating underground lines. Our service area covers Big Spring, Midland, Odessa, Pecos, New Mexico, and the surrounding area.
No experience? No problem! This is an entry-level position!

YOUR DAY AS A PIPELINE LOCATING TECHNICIAN
To succeed in this entry-level role, you'll need to be highly accurate, detail-oriented, and compliant with all safety procedures. You'll also need to be eager to learn more and committed to completing thorough work. Here's what you can expect:
- Traveling in a company vehicle to various outdoor spaces (fields, backyards, parking lots, etc.)
- Walking around the property and using tools like EM locators to identify underground pipes and cables
- Accurately marking underground line locations and following color codes
- Completing detailed job reports
- Thoroughly following all safety procedures to keep yourself and your team members safeWhile experience would be great, it's not required for this entry-level role. Here's what we're looking for:
- 18+ years old
- Eagerness to learn more and readiness to get to work
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Reliable work performance
