The Inspector will be responsible for overseeing pipeline anomaly excavation activities, inspecting pipeline damage, coordinating contractors, and ensuring compliance with all integrity and safety requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Shall inspect pipeline anomaly excavations to confirm defects and document pipeline and repair conditions.
- Ensure all equipment and materials are accompanied by copies of the Bill of Lading, Material Traceability Reports (MTRs) and Pre-Testing Reports (as applicable).
- Complete required job documentation including daily reports, checklists, pipeline maintenance reports, and other forms as required by the job scope, CEPC requirements, or client requirements.
- Hold valid OQ requirements as needed for job scope, CEPC requirements, or Client requirements.
- Act as liaison between client, CEPC, contractor, and other field personnel.- 3+ years of field experience in welding, construction, or inspection required.
- Experience should include oil and gas and/or pipeline experience.
- Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Welding inspector must hold CPWI certification or CWI certification AND the appropriate coating inspector AMPP (NACE) CIP certification.PAY: $40-45/HR + extensive overtime + per diem
Skills & Abilities
- Thorough understanding of the product and/or process being inspected.
- Thorough attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports
- Familiarity or experience with GPS equipment.
- Incumbents will constantly utilize written and verbal communication skills including active listening and speaking and reach and grasp objects.
- Incumbents will regularly experience periods of prolonged sitting, standing, walking, travel/drive a vehicle, and lift objects up to 25 lbs.
- Incumbents will occasionally lift objects up to 50 lbs.
- This position requires the incumbent to operate office equipment such as computers, telephones, and printers.
- Incumbents may travel up to 100% of the time. Must hold valid US Driver’s license.
