Payroll Specialist (Construction Industry) – Multi-Company Payroll

Location: McKinney, TX (On-site) Company: RPM Utilities, LLC

RPM Utilities is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations for multiple affiliated companies. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and has strong technical payroll experience—especially within the construction industry.

Candidates must have experience with UKG Pro, QuickBooks Desktop, and be bilingual in Spanish.

Job Summary

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for preparing and processing accurate weekly payrolls, auditing timecards, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to support both English- and Spanish-speaking employees.

Responsibilities

- Process weekly payroll for multiple companies using UKG Pro.

- Audit employee timecards, job cost coding, and payroll data for accuracy.

- Enter and maintain employee payroll information, including new hires, terminations, pay changes, and deductions.

- Reconcile payroll data with QuickBooks Desktop.

- Process garnishments, reimbursements, bonuses, PTO, and other payroll adjustments.

- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure regulatory compliance.

- Answer employee payroll questions and provide support in both English and Spanish.

- Prepare payroll reports for leadership and accounting.

- Assist with year-end reporting, including W-2s.

Requirements

- 6-7+ years of payroll experience, preferably in construction or field services.

- UKG Pro (UltiPro) experience required.

- QuickBooks Desktop experience required.

- Bilingual in Spanish – required.

- Strong knowledge of wage and hour laws, overtime calculations, and job costing.

- High attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.

- Strong organizational and communication skills.

- Must work on-site Monday–Friday.
