The Operations & Strategy Leader - STX is responsible for assisting the COO in managing the organization's well-servicing operations and achieving its goals in the South Texas Region. This position will help to drive efficiencies and create operational service synergies across lines of business while managing operational quality assurance and compliance audit programs and ensuring the reliability and integrity of workover rig equipment and compliance.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Leads the company quality management standards (QMS) to ensure Axis delivers the highest level of customer service and meets the daily RIG inspection requirements.
- Acts as a resource on issues related to execution of services, including cost/budget compliance, execution, and resource allocation.
- Recommends targets for quality and reliability, utilization, spend on tools, and provides overall vision for operations in the appointed scope.
- Handles special projects and assigned responsibilities, contributing to the overall effectiveness of workover services.
- Collaborates with the SVP of Operations in setting and driving organizational vision, operational strategy, and hiring needs.
- Translates strategy into actionable goals and execute relevant projects/initiatives aligned with the organization's goals.
- Assists the SVP of Operations in negotiating and closing deals and securing new business opportunities.
- Oversees the day-to-day well service operations of the organization in various districts.
- Maintains and builds trusted relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Collaborates with senior leadership to assess and improve policies, systems, and processes throughout the organization
- Leads and mentors cross-functional teams to drive employee engagement, ensure accountability, and achieve results
- Reports regularly to the SVP of Operations on the organization's performance, opportunities, and challenges
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, or related field; or combination of education and experience in the O&G Well Servicing industry.
- 10+ years of experience in progressively responsible leadership roles, ideally in a relevant industry- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and driving operational success
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and competitive forces
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships and negotiating agreements
- Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically
