Position Description Primary Purpose:
To monitor storage well pressure, gas de-hydration equipment during gas withdrawals, and gas compression equipment during gas injection periods.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Monitor pipeline receipts/deliveries.
- Lubrication truck unloading
- Truck loading of slop oil and water
- Equipment monitoring (including fluid levels in pumps and motors)
- Monitor temperatures of rotating equipment, flare for abnormal flame height.
- Work with third party control center and gas scheduling.
- Assure daily nominations of gas are met.
- Tank gauging
- Facility inspections each shift
- Assure gas quality meets pipeline specification.
- Identify and respond to abnormal conditions.
- Release Prevention
- Check for inter-day modifications to nomination.
- Optimize run-time of gas compressors to meet gas nomination.
- Coordinate with Gas Control any changes in operational equipment.
- During withdrawal phase test gas each shift to assure quality meets PPL Specifications.
- Check oil levels in compressors – Check and top off at identified locations.
- Check valve temperatures on all compressor valves, re-boiler pumps and motors, switch Gear BLDG, VFD Gear, electric motors (lubrication systems), tank/sump levels, and dump valves on separators.
- Complete all required logs and documentation of equipment inspection and maintain in file room. Document status of all equipment in operations daily log book.
- Utilize release prevention philosophy to proactively identify / rectify potential releases.
- Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all facilities and equipment as needed.
- ID., report and correct safety and environmental concerns.
- Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory and tariff requirements.
- Actively participate in safety and security program and initiatives.
- Participates in the development of O&M Procedures, Site Specific Procedures, project scopes and work plans.
- Help in the development of Site Specific Procedures.
- Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.
- Job level will commensurate with experience.
- May be required to drive a company commercial vehicle and comply with all commercial vehicle regulations.
- Must respond to, and address, callouts and emergencies during and after regular business hours including after dark hours, which require carrying a communication device.
- Job level commensurate with knowledge, skills and experience.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
- May be required to achieve and maintain certifications as required to perform job duties and applicable to the job classification.
- Completion of any site specific technical training may be applicable.
- The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.
- Basic computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, various operating systems, and other company software).
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.

- Must be willing to work overtime when needed.
- May work in low-lit areas.
- Must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions.
- Must be able to frequently enter confined spaces, climb to and work from elevated platforms, ladders, and walkways, etc.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds in awkward positions and 50 pounds from floor to waist (occasional).
- Will work a rotating shift.
Preferred Education, Experience, Certifications, Competencies, Skills, And Abilities
- Knowledge of pipeline or compression experience.
- Experience in an industrial setting (oilfield, refinery, chemical plant or pipeline).
