Headquartered in Downtown Houston, the Golden Pass LNG organization expects to double in size over the next several years as we complete the project, commence natural gas trading activities, and ramp up towards full LNG production. Once full operations commence, Golden Pass LNG will become the second largest consumer of natural gas in the US and produce more than 200 cargos of LNG
per annum.
Job Summary / Purpose
The Natural Gas Scheduler will be responsible for working with a team of traders and schedulers to timely and accurately nominate on the pipeline Electronic Bulletin Boards (EBB) in support of the commercial organization, and working with 3rd party pipelines and cross-functionally to on-board new facility agreements. This position will report to the Gas Scheduling Manager and is located in Houston, TX.
Essential Duties / Functions
- Scheduling all physical natural gas for the commercial team across multiple pipelines.
- Track and manage pipeline imbalances and/or storage balances relative to contractual terms as well as determining any optimization opportunities.
- Correct intra-day nominations as needed.
- Proactively communicate pipeline market information with the commercial team.
- Capture nomination and actualized data in the ETRM system.
- Maintain tariff rate charges.
- Working with 3rd party pipeline companies and coordinating and working cross-functionally to onboarding new facility agreements (i.e. transportation, storage, pooling, park and loans, balancing service etc.), and maintaining ETRM master data.
- Identify areas of improvement for operational efficiencies and drive the associated changes and improvements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external parties.
- Represent the Company at relevant industry events.
- Liaise with the settlements and middle office teams to ensure timely and accurate position, P&L, and settlements information.
Minimum
educationrequired of the position.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in the natural gas industry preferred.
