Position Description: Mechanic – Full-Time (Carrollton, TX)
We’re looking for a dependable, experienced mid-level Mechanic to join our team in our 12-bay shop located in Carrollton, Texas. This is a full-time position (40–45 hours per week) working on a variety of vehicles and equipment within our internal fleet.
This role is ideal for a mechanic who has experience and can handle most repairs independently. You’ll work alongside our Shop Manager and senior mechanics, with support available when needed.
Our fleet includes pickup trucks, medium-duty bobtails, light-duty crane trucks, tractor-trailers, and other specialized equipment.
- Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on trucks and equipment
- Assist with diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Complete routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and basic DOT-related work
- Follow repair procedures and safety standards
- Communicate job status clearly with the Shop Manager and team
- Maintain accurate service and repair documentation
- 2–4 years of hands-on mechanic experience (fleet, diesel, or commercial vehicle experience preferred)
- Solid mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose common issues
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to complete jobs independently with guidance available when needed
- Own basic hand tools (specialty and shop tools provided)
- CDL, DOT inspection certification, or diesel experience is a plus but not required
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Starting pay around $30/hour, depending on experience
