The Technical services manager is responsible for understanding customer requirements and then applying technical knowledge along with analytical skills to provide advice and support on a range of products with technical specifications and expertise. This person leads RFP’s through the analysis of supplied data, being able to determine proper paths forward and organize field deployment of resources. This person will work with the operations and sales groups to identify opportunities for employee enrichment and current program optimization and creation.
- Attend industry trade shows
- Assist business development team with sales calls and technical solutions
- Identify opportunities for case studies
- Works in field when necessary (e.g., collecting samples, gathering data)
- Contact prospective customers, arrange meetings and present findings
- Possess technical writing capability and able to prepare RFP’s and customer presentations
- Uses knowledge of chemical application in the oil & gas industry to understand customer requirements
- Incorporates technical knowledge into survey process
- Demonstrate the effectiveness of chemical products and provide technical solutions to customer issues
- Other duties may be assigned.

- Associates Degree
- 2 or more years in Technical Role
- 2 or more years in oil & gas chemicals
- Bachelor’s Degree
