Summary

Deacero USA, a leading steel product manufacturer, is seeking a skilled and motivated Machine Operator to join their team in the Mining & Metals industry. As a machine operator, you will play a critical role in operating machinery, performing routine maintenance checkpoints, able to identify and repair mechanical problems, following safety guidelines and procedures, and promoting the efficiency in production.

Responsibilities

- Under minimal direction, doing a pre inspection for calibration, cleaning, repair, if necessary, before starting production orders.

- Perform stablish quality checks in finish products according to internal standards.

- Feed raw material for production.

- Solve basic mechanical issues during shift for proper operation.

- Assist other operators as needed.

- Keep record of pre and post of equipment, tools, and finished product

- Report on timely manner all mechanical issues for being fixed by maintenance.

- Set labeling on finished products as stablishing on work methods.

- Follow safety policies, procedures, reporting, and standards including adhering to strict PPE guidelines for a safe environment.

- Maintain a clean work environment.

Requirements and Education

- High School Diploma or equivalent. Technical degree is a plus.

- Proven experience as a machine operator (desirable)

- Understanding of production procedures and written instructions

- Ability to complete simple forms and understand simple written instructions.

- Attention to details and problem-solving skills.

- Teamwork and communication skills

- Knowledge of basic mechanical fundamentals and equipment function

- Basic mathematical concepts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals)

- Bilingual English and Spanish

- Physical Requirements - Drag 90 lbs objects- Going up and down steps- Going up and down folding stairs-Prolonged standing times- Bend down to do work by leaving your waist multiple times a day.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
